Tình cảm hai kỷ niệm: ‘Let It Be’
Hồi xưa lắm rồi, lúc chân ướt chân ráo đến Melbourne với chiếc cặp sách sinh viên, vừa bước xuống phi trường, tôi lại nhớ đến Saigon kinh khủng, một nỗi nhớ day dứt khó quên: “chiều chiều ra đứng ngõ sau, nhìn về quê mẹ ruột đau chín chiều.”
Ngày nào cũng vậy, nhất là khi “in my hour of darkness” trong tâm hồn bơ vơ ở xứ người, tôi vào phòng nhạc của Đại Học Monash phải nghe cho được bài “Let It Be” của The Beatles, và nhớ mãi câu: “And when the night is cloudy, there is still a light that shines on me. Shine until tomorrow. Let it be.”
Tình cảm ngày xưa trở lại vào tuần rồi khi tôi nhập viện St Vincent Hospital vì con tim lỗi nhịp (arrhythmia), hằng ngày tôi đem iPad ra nghe lại bài “Let It Be”, với hy vọng “There is still a light that shines on me. Shine until tomorrow. Let it be.”
Mà thật là nhiệm màu. Hồi xưa cứ nghe đến bệnh viện thì tôi bị ám ảnh bởi tiếng rên la khóc lóc; nhưng St Vincent Hospital mang đến cho tôi một lối nhìn và thái độ tích cực hơn, với những nụ cười hiền hòa khả ái, và nhất là tôi được gặp và ‘whispering words of wisdom’ trong chuyện trò thân mật với nhân viên y tế từ nhiều nơi trên thế giới như Africa, Nepal, Phi Luật Tân, Ấn Độ, England…
Khi tôi viết message cho bạn bè báo là đang ở ‘Hospital’, vậy mà chữ prompting ‘Heaven’ lại ‘nghịch ngợm’ hiện ra trong câu “I am now in heaven” làm bạn bè vừa lo lắng, rồi sau đó lại cười thỏa thích. What a sweet world!
Tình cảm hai kỷ niệm của ‘Let It Be’ đã làn con tim của tôi vui trở lại… Love and keep smiling.
